Well that’s kind of what happens when you make living prohibitively expensive, there are little to no mental health resources, even basic healthcare is not a right that everyone has and guns are readily available. Not to mention that a ton of people lost a loved one due to COVID and people working in healthcare and first responders probably have some level of PTSD from dealing with so much death face to face in such a short time.

Not to be a fucking doomer about it, but it really does feel hopeless and everything is getting worse. I’ve personally known multiple people with “a bullet retirement plan” and that was before every single thing started costing 10-50% compared to just a couple years ago. But at least we all got some totally free COVID relief checks that we’re all still living large off of, right?

The lower and the middle class are really hurting right now and nobody seems to give a shit and what’s worse is that we have a non insignificant number of people actively trying to drown them out and make their lives even more difficult. Any time there’s a single shred of hope or relief, it just gets taken away and things are worse than they were before.

This really is a shit time in American history and I hate having to pretend that it isn’t.
