That is the eternal question but no distro is best. The most commonly suggested ones are Linux Mint and Pop OS. I will recommend Bazzite and say to avoid Arch or Arch-based distros.

This isn’t recent, this is over a year old. Also note that “desktops” is plural. As in the ones I listed above make up “Fedora atomic desktops”.

I mean not to be pedantic but there is no “fedora atomic”. There is Fedora Kinoite, Fedora Sway, Fedora Silverblue, etc. Bazzite is just yet another Fedora atomic release.

That’s precisely my point though. You’re referring to these softwares collectively but they can be deployed by anyone and hosted anywhere, so it’s impossible to answer.

I wouldn’t say that. It is very different in it’s atomic nature, not to mention the pre-packaged software and tweaks.

Some of them have dedicated Nvidia images and you don’t have to do anything (theoretically, this has failed for me before). I had problems with the Nobara image but Bazzite worked flawlessly out of the box.

What does “developed and working” even mean? Both are developed using GitHub, which is owned by an American company. Servers are located around the world. Developers are located around the world.

I hardly think $27.5k could be considered “jacking up the price” but I also don’t appreciate advertising pricing that is dependent on a government incentive that may not even exist when the vehicles are actually delivered.

Not sure what you mean by “centred”. They’re both just software. Some of the developers certainly live there but they’re both open-source projects with contributors from all over the world. And software doesn’t have an originating country.
