Then her family came out with a statement saying that she initially went home with minor bumps and bruises, but later fell ill and went to the hospital where they discovered she had kidney failure, I think? It’s called the “Laken Riley Act”, and it allows for the deportation of people who have simply been “charged” with a criminal offense. They don’t have to be tried or convicted…just officially accused.
