Makes sense. The public no longer blindly supports this kind of shit like they used to…so authoritarian tactics are now required to keep getting away with doing it.

They already signed that contract. This is just Israel attacking them anyway.
This explains it in better detail than I could. It isn’t so much a single law, but rather a lot of different laws that all work together to ensure that Israel is given everything it could possibly need for its own defense…even bypassing normal regulatory measures in the process, as long as certain conditions are maintained.
Israel has invested tens of millions of dollars lobbying for, and helping to write, the legislation that guarantees their continuous access to weapons. A lot of it is written directly into defense spending bills that are essential for domestic defense spending as well. So, without a massive shift in policy at the legislative level to disentangle those priorities, that support is legally binding.
Aaaww…their first illegal action. How adorable.
That IS technically what the 2nd amendment is for. “A well regulated militia…etc”.
The US is obligated by law, to keep sending them weapons in order to maintain a “qualitative military edge” against all potential threats. This unfortunately incentivizes Israel to maintain a high threat level, in order to increase the amount of weapons it receives.
If only Zelenski had given him a golden airplane. /s
Fake nails.
Maybe they aren’t including the time spent scrolling. It’s just the sphincter flexing moments that count.
Whelp. It appears I am a robot. I guess I don’t get to find out what my fellow boys are up to. smh.
(Edit)… apparently I can’t even spell “bots” correctly. I’m failing all the tests today.
Imagine getting fired as a journalist for simply stating an objective fact.
Almost everything Trump has attempted to do, has to some extent, been blocked in the courts. Sometimes temporarily…other times completely. And the temporary blocks are all still active cases, that stand a good chance of getting permanently blocked in the future.
The problem is, the media isn’t covering that enough. They like the drama…so, all they report in is the shit that gets clicks. And boring court details don’t attract a lot of interest. Especially considering that by the time anything is resolved, the news steam has long since moved on to other, more recent scandals.
But, when you say, “they”…you are painting the entire protest as violent, unless you make the distinction that it isn’t. And the vast majority of protestors are simply exercising their 1st amendment rights, in a perfectly legal manner.
The people setting those fires should absolutely be charged for their actions. But their actions don’t negate the Constitutional rights of everyone else who is protesting. And calling in the National guard before the local authorities have declared the situation to be out of their control, is a direct violation of Constitutional law.
And THIS is what the 2nd amendment is actually for. California needs its own state-run militia to defend its territory from Federal overreach.
It was never about individual civilians owning weapons. All that would do, is give Trump a justification to invoke the Insurrection Act. But if the State of California itself is armed against tyranny, then the people’s rights are being defended.
Did Trump declare martial law while I was asleep? Because last time I checked, he can’t deploy the military on US soil unless the country is in a state of emergency. And peaceful protests don’t count.
Just waiting for RFK jr to revoke this approval on the basis that it can’t prevent gay people from doing poppers, so it must not work.
