In my recent experience I would say cats are smarter than most people realize. They can learn many English words if you train them and communicate with them actively. Obviously they’re not saying those words, but they respond to them. I would not be surprised if some cats figure out mirrors immediately and some take a while. I knew some idiots in grade school who probably couldn’t figure it out at first

Liberteez@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•‘You Can’t Lick a Badger Twice’: Google Failures Highlight a Fundamental AI FlawEnglish131·3 days agoI am not saying other generative AI lack flaws, but Google’s AI Overview is the most problematic generative AI implementation I have ever seen. It offends me that a company I used to trust continues to force this lie generator as a top result for the #1 search engine. And to what end? Just to have a misinformed populace over literally every subject!
OpenAI has issues as well, but ChatGPT is a much, much better search engine with far fewer hallucinations per answer. Releasing AI Overview while the competition is leagues ahead on the same front is asinine!

Healthy masculinity is understanding that many younger men look up to you, so you must be a role model for them. Manifest that in whatever way you believe is best, and you are a healthy masculine person. (This is just, like, my opinion)
Liberteez@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Ive wrestled with spirituality for a while now, and and don't know what to do?2·7 days agoNew religions are founded every day. The issue is that they are either united by notions, which are squishy, or by a cult leader claiming divine inspiration. The squishy ones don’t last long, or else get taken over by a cult leader.

Liberteez@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Ive wrestled with spirituality for a while now, and and don't know what to do?3·8 days agoIn my personal journey, I came to be permanently skeptical of all organized religions. None of them are infallible, all of them are a cult to a degree. Here are some other beliefs I hold today:
1 - There might be something real behind exorcisms and hauntings, regardless of the validity of the religions who treat them. I base this on conversations I’ve held with witnesses I trust.
2 - I don’t think there is only one higher power. Whether there are tiers, I cannot say.
3 - The evidence for reincarnation is fascinating. Check out the history of the university of Virginia and it’s department dedicated to the supernatural.
4 - Some people can see/commune with the dead. Whether any can do it at will is another story. Most of the people I believe are private about it, most of those who sell the service seem phony.
5 - Although I don’t believe in any religion, I was my best self when I did. Faith in a moral cause does wonders for the soul, regardless of factuality. Prayer, meditation, and ritual are good for the soul. Community is incredible.

The Latin American gang crisis is real. Biden wanted to tackle it, and Congress said no. They have funding from c#ina to create issues at our border to destabilize us.
Of course, every single arrested person deserves due process. Many are being targeted maliciously right now under false pretenses.
Ruzzia is of course the greater threat. They are also very weak right now. Their victory with US sabotage is honestly their biggest win in decades, and their other fronts are utter failures. But their cruelty and focus on our demise has resulted in a surgical counterintelligence strike that will forever harm American life much moreso that the Latin American gangs.
The greatest threat is c#ina, should they get more involved.
