Yeh this will make it a tough choice for me. Have an OLED TV and playing something like Hades 2 in 4K120 would be really nice. Maybe a USBC hub/adapter could do the trick but that’s kinda weird and an extra cost. Definitely dampened my hype for it sadly.

11·24 days agoUnless they changed it in the last couple of months Xbox does the same thing. When I still had my XSX there were updates sitting idly in the queue all the time.
And countercounterpoint this is also an environmental issue. Unless you don’t give a fuck about that either.

7·3 months agoHad this experience with Dead Cells. Regretted it and haven’t touched games until they reached 1.0 since then.
A dev made a mistake when the product was still in alpha and fixed it immediately after becoming aware of it. Let’s never use the product ever again!
Also, since you’re already 14 versions deep you should probably implement automatic “garbage collection”.
I don’t have the command at hand but you can name versions.

6·4 months agoI guess it depends on if they are interrogation style interviews or more of a getting to know you kinda thing. For my current job I had like 4 casual interviews and it was a blessing in disguise. I applied for a role that I was pretty tired of but had the most experience in. Without letting me know the first interviewers recognized that I had some skills that would fit well with a different position that wasn’t advertised on their homepage yet. In the end I was offered a job for the latter!
I know this is anecdotal and probably not how it usually goes. I also agree that 6-7 interviews is probably overkill. But multiple interviews aren’t always a bad thing.
People seriously underestimate how shitty most alternatives are. And any time I see people hating on Jira I never see a proper alternative mentioned.

26·7 months agoA shitty narrator can get me to hate a book I like.
And that is where I see potential for AI. There are quite a few books which I’d love to listen to but they are all narrated by a guy whose narration I can’t stand. AI would open the possibility to choose a voice and I might actually get to enjoy those books. It’s Amazon though so the ethical implications and quality concerns are something I’m worried about.

I don’t think it necessarily is the reflective properties etc. but it has been shown that doing stuff in nature is beneficial to mental health. And since people likely usually spend less time in nature in winter, doing so would improve mood.
