    instead of giving money to a Bezos/Amazon owned service, you can support services like libro.fm that let you download/own the audiobook mp3 outright.

      I spot checked a few things I’m reading, they’re about 20-50% more expensive. It kind of looks like they’re just a new front end for Barnes & Noble, but with worse curation

      You can also go directly to the publishers and save a couple of bucks.

      I’m down for paying a bit more at a local retail store, or maybe even a few percent on an online store. But I have to pay $47.24 for Dune, I’m probably just going to pirate it.
