Given that they remade Chain of Memories entirely, I am really surprised they never did it for 358/2.
This is a very good example. I am going to steal this in the future.
I will say there were times I wanted to ask certain questions, and was sure I would just be met with multiple “switch to linux” responses. I just used google to try and find answers on Reddit.
Some higher end brands come with shoe horns. I have a few now. I will say in all my years I have never broken or deformed one though, and I have some cheap ones from amazon too.
I am terrified every time I see these videos pop up https://youtube.com/shorts/UknfPeLDzmw?si=RRQ8MSHATXnFX2Xp https://youtube.com/shorts/roRdZJQ3lmg?si=2Cv2dDofKQSa4S-W
I must say, the games is one of the few reasons I still pay for Netflix. But I had a similar reaction when certain games were locked behind Apple Arcade, so I understand the sentiment.
Likely to promote and increase activity people will try to repost what was already popular on reddit. It’s no different than movie studios wanting to only make movies that have preexisting fanbases.
I don’t think there’s much that can be done other than being patient and guiding how things grow. Reddit took a decade to build. Lemmy’s journey will likely be long, but it probably won’t take 10yrs. Solutions to existing problems will happen over time.
Maybe less content is good? Infinitely scrolling is not great, and we all know that. Having limited content on Lemmy allows me to at least move onto something else.
I know you’re being downvoted, but I had the same thought. I see more outcry over nintendo than other companies. Yes, Nintendo has done bad things, but if I were to go back and browse Reddit I feel like the level of hate on Lemmy is much higher. I have to assume it’s due to the open source nature of Lemmy and it’s ideals.
I think this is why the “15min City/Neighborhood” is a popular idea. Small clusters of group where you can walk and get all your basic needs within a 15min walk. I don’t really think this is feasible in the US though, unless someone decided to build an entirely new city.
Damn phone! Thank you for letting me know. I’ve updated my post.
And yes, it would be much harder outside of cities.
You’ll want to maybe start looking into some Asian cultures. There is a lot of minimalism there, like this guy. He is able to pack and move to a new home in 13min and moves every year. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XBQBKseozuY
There are also some people who try their best to make it look like there is nothing in their apartment, but it’s really a full on transformer

Oh fun. A game series I used to work on is on the Dark Games first page.
I’ve always been fascinated by 4D, but a question just came to mind. Would we gain anything by being able to perceive that extra dimension living only in a 3D world? Is there anything we are currently not seeing that may exist in our world? Would we just have x-ray vision?
I’m not even sure what my reaction to this should be, but I commend the dedication put in.
There’s part of an episode in Orville about this very topic. I need to finish up that show.
I can’t wait until I can buy Kingdom Hearts The Final Mixed Series in 10yrs will all the games on one disc… though who am I kidding, physical media will be gone by then.
Yet another thing we’ve fallen behind on.
