“sticks and stones may break my bones drones…”
“sticks and stones may break my bones drones…”
My suspicion is that it’s abiogenesis, but it’s only a suspicion that I can’t have any certainty of
The article mentions that he was telling this to the president of the UFC, so not really since thats sports type fighting, not military stuff like the french foreign legion is. It sounds more like just an attempt to make migrants sound threatening by declaring them to be physically tougher than other people.
Id say yes to that statement, but for reasons that dont have to do with AI as I dont really view AI training as piracy.
Doesn’t it demonstrate that the actual dinos in real life don’t have to be big to be popular, because humans will simply portray them how they want to see and bring interest in the species regardless?
I mean, raptors
Would this even be necessary for automated ordering anyway? Given that every company under the sun wants you to use some app of theirs these days, including fast food companies, Im kinda surprised they dont just get rid of the speaker/microphone system, and just put a sign with a qr code in front of the drive through telling you to download and use their app to put in a drive through order
Similar story where I work, manufacturing a type of x ray emitting tool. Never seen anyone having problematic readings on the dosimeter badges, but when I was hired I did get told that they had only once had an incident, where one of the engineers had been for some reason repeatedly testing a prototype by directly holding the sample the x ray was firing at in his hand. Not sure what happened to him
I’m aware that it can analyze chemical composition (I work in a factory that relates to such devices), but I’m unaware of them being able to detect things like weaknesses in a grain structure, the devices I’m familiar with at least would just tell you if a piece of titanium has other elements contaminating it. Unless there’s more that can be done with them than I’ve had explained to me, which is possible
Presumably there must be something physically different about the weaker titanium, like a different structure of all the crystals in it or something? Is there any way to measure that?
Still could see some use though, in that if they’re not very combat capable anyway, driving them around potentially makes one expend ammo firing at them, and any mines they might hit would be detonated without human casualty.
Tsar Sherman
For this particular case, he couldn’t pardon himself because the president can pardon federal crimes, but in this case the crime is in the New York state court system, so the governor of New York would have to pardon him to my understanding.
It’s conceivable that it could, and so it makes some sense to prepare. Even assuming it’s over by then though, it still makes some sense to prop up Ukraine both militarily and economically for some time after, because seeing as the war has been mostly fought on their territory, it will be a long struggle to rebuild, during which time it may be difficult for them to afford to replace military stockpiles on their own as they’ll need everything they can for rebuilding. But if their military is not also replenished, then they’d be at risk if Russia tries this again a few years later.
I’ve heard of them before, but my assumption was that whatever factor about fast food had killed them off, probably would still be in play to prevent them returning unless optimized even further somehow
This does bring the question up in my mind of what a restaurant that wasn’t a luxury would look like, ie, something that sells ready to eat food at prices that make it competitive with cooking at home, and which is healthy enough to eat on a daily basis without ill effect. My guess is that it would be largely a matter of having to carefully choose recipes that both use ingredients that are cheap in bulk, and able to be at least partially automated to keep staff costs low, but which are still nutritious and rely on minimal processed ingredients. Probably soups and chili and the like I’d imagine.
A Toyota Hilux that’s up on cinder blocks because the wheels have all been removed.
I mean, in an actual fight, that one movie notwithstanding, King Kong shouldnt exactly be an equivalent to Godzilla, he managed to get himself killed by being shot up by some aircraft mounted guns and falling off a building, while Godzilla can tank a nuke and fire radioactive plasma from his mouth
Could one hypothetically make a single shot gun as as cheap and simple as possible so as to be disposable, mount it by some kind of claw grabber type device that can adjust pressure, and then loosen the grip until it’s just barely being held in place before firing, so that instead of the recoil force transferring into the drone, it just yeets the gun out of the drone’s grip instead? Could have a drone with multiple grippers in order to have multiple shots before needing to be reloaded.
