I’m obsessed with this photo. I love all the subtle changes in the colors of the reflections on the windows.
Were you just in the right place at the right time, or were you specifically trying to capture this?

I love his coat coloring! Like the front half is tuxedo and the back half is tortie. What a cutie pie.

Everyone is so impressed 💀 Y’all, he’s spraying. You can see his pee drops land on the bed in the first clip 😅
I remember this one from that one episode of House.
Our kitty is Scout, who we call Scooty. And sometimes Scooter/Scooterella/Scooterbutt/Scootypuff Junior. She prefers the Xbox controller over the Steamdeck though.
Cool! A TNR kitty!
If you see a stray with an eartip (the top point removed from one ear) this is a sign of a Trap-Neuter-Return cat. It’s the sign that an outdoor kitty has been caught, fixed, and then returned to their outdoor home. It means some humans care about this cat and their colony 🙂
More on ear tipping. More on TNR.
Being more active again is such a good sign! Happy to hear good news about Blue.
Donated, best of luck to you two, and hoping for the best outcome for Blue.
Kitty belly 😻
Yeah, don’t tell us what to do!
When my vitamin D levels were tested low, the doc told me to take 2,000 IBU daily.
~7000/day seems quite high to me. But I’m not a doctor.
I would consider if the cost of purchasing all this vitamin D - a lot of of which your body may be excreting rather than absorbing - is a worthwhile financial investment in your health. I don’t know anything about you, maybe it is.
This reads like a Rimworld post.
I don’t think there’s a Rimworld community on Lemmy and I’m not going on Reddit anymore so I’ll just throw this comment into the void and hope some fans are out there. 👋
Also in Rimworld terms the answer is corn (if monoculture) and send everyone to harvest at the first sign of blight.
But in both Rimworld and real life, a monoculture strategy isn’t sustainable. Diversifying via multiple food sources reduces your risk of disaster leading to starvation.
Cool story, Miss Issippi.
Soup is just liquid salad.
Fight me.
I agree. I was in college at 19 and I would not have been able to grow as a person in the same way, if I had been dating a 25 year old at the time. You’re just at different stages of life at this point.
I’m not saying it’s impossible for this to work out well for some people. Clearly in the comments here it has, and I have friends with a greater age difference who are now happily married.
But in general, no I don’t think this is a good idea. If it was the same age gap but meeting later in life, no big deal. But a 19 year old is at a very different point in life than a 25 year old and she needs to be able to grow on her own outside of a relationship with an older person.
Speaking of Alibaba: Tianyu Gems is a quality dealer of moissanite. I originally got the recommendation on Reddit from someone who had ordered multiple stones. We used them for the moissanite in my engagement ring.
The larger stones are obviously jewelry grade but they have some cheaper bulk options too.
Fixed cats live longer. Spaying decreases the likelihood of cats developing certain types of cancers.
Friends of mine literally last week had to put their cat down because she developed breast cancer and rapidly deteriorated (we’re talking painful skin ulcers here.) If the cat had been spayed at a young age, she would likely still be here.
And as others have said, spaying is the wise choice in case she were ever to accidentally get outside.
