I also choose this person’s wife.
They’re all lying to you. It actually removes Romanian – for real
At first I thought he was climbing his pile of gold but he’s definitely fucking it.
I mean, aren’t most images from orbiters and space telescopes heavily processed before the public ever sees them?
Presumably, your country pays its servers a living wage so they don’t have to scrape by on tips. This has been the state of the US labor market in most non-fast food restaurants for decades:
A tipped employee engages in an occupation in which he or she customarily and regularly receives more than $30 per month in tips. An employer of a tipped employee is only required to pay $2.13 per hour in direct wages if that amount combined with the tips received at least equals the federal minimum wage [$7.25 per hour]. If the employee’s tips combined with the employer’s direct wages of at least $2.13 per hour do not equal the federal minimum hourly wage, the employer must make up the difference. Many states, however, require higher direct wage amounts for tipped employees.
As long as drywall anchors were used [to mount a CRT TV to a wall with electrical tape], it shouldn’t be an issue.
I’m on the spectrum and I don’t know how anyone could actually read, understand, but then still interpret this comment as anything but unambiguous sarcasm unless they don’t know the first thing about basic home maintenance. As much as I appreciate it sometimes when something is unclear to me, for others, the /s takes something of value away from a joke when the intention was clear.
That’s adorable. TIL, thanks.
There’s also a wide and endlessly customizable variety of web/mobile clients, something reddit will apparently never have again.
e: Federation is pretty cool, too.

Nice of the spirits to dim the lights first.
My boxer mix gets her wires crossed sometimes and quietly growls at me when she’s excited, like when she can tell by my change of clothes that we’re about to go for a walk. Sometimes it startles strangers but it’s hard to be scared when her tail is wagging. The best part is when the vibration of her own growl tickles her throat and sinuses enough that she makes herself sneeze.
Pixels have had this for several years. I think even my Nexus did.
Why the vertical line at 1940?
My Plex/*arr Intel NUC server uses like 50-75W under heavy load and maybe 5W at idle, and I can’t imagine it’s not powerful enough to run a small Lemmy instance, so even this figure seems a little high to me.
Newb here who can’t seem to fully grasp how permissions work and sometimes carelessly runs services as root. Help…
Apparently this was a failed attempt at a joke.

People have speculated that the culprit could have been a binary asteroid along with the Chicxulub impactor. Even if that wasn’t the case, it’s estimated that similarly-sized (~450 m) impacts occur every 50,000-100,000 years. That would mean there could have been many hundreds of such impacts in the 66 million years since Chicxulub, so not nearly as unlikely of a coincidence as it seems from reading the article – especially considering the million-year margin of uncertainty in dating this smaller crater.
Fuck yeah hydrohomie
IDK, man. I’m thinking it has more to do with our high obsessiveness.
