A sad day for both England, and the world.
Fair enough! I still prefer the implied version, but it’s definitely nice to have alternatives.
Also, I haven’t kept up with SF6. I was surprised Akuma wasn’t a launch character.
I’m seeing a lot of his moves from 3rd Strike, which is nice. Not a fan of that raging demon though. I still think it’s better the less of it you see and the more of it that’s implied.
Is the 35th anniversary the release of 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy on the Switch? I’d say the artificial scarcity aspect to induce fomo wasn’t any better. It might have even been worse.
I would suggest looking at other Kbin instances outside of kbin.social. or look to mbin, which is a fork that in told is more stable. I also haven’t made the jump from Kbin, but have been having similar issues with usability with it for awhile.
They were being sarcastic, by the way.
I’m curious, where’s “over here” for you? I’m not super involved in politics here in the US, but I don’t think surrogacy is really talked about much here? There’s the people who vehemently oppose it (from my experience that’s mostly the religious right), but almost any interaction I’ve had discussing it just lists it as an option people can consider.
I should mention that I’m Bi and don’t have a kid, so I mostly hear about it from the context of same sex couples.
That’s not-
Wait a minute. Ha, you almost had me, you sly dog.
I think they meant guaranteed income prior to selling the game, since they had no way of knowing how successful (if at all) the game was going to be once released.
Your first clue that you were old is that you were still listening to FM radio.
Some might put adds in front or at the end of videos. I’m sure the “viewer counts” also help them negotiate rates for adds on the page itself.
He’s talking about Zaheer and the Red Lotus. They were extremely well intentioned, but set about their goals with violence.
I’ll never stop complaining that in the second movie Dooku tells Obi-Wan that the Separatists are the good guys and that there’s a sith influencing the Senate. Which would have been a cool reveal for the audience, that we’re rooting for the bad guys.
But then Dooku is also a sith anyway. What a wasted opportunity.
It’s true, we give trials and similar protections to citizens of other nations, but if someone weren’t part of a nation at all, why bother? There wouldn’t be a larger body of organization that would be interested in protecting them.
And we have suspended that right to non-citizens before. That was a major issue with Gitmo (in addition to the cruel and unusual punishment)
The thing that annoys me about “Sovereign Citizens” representing themselves in court/thinking that they somehow aren’t beholden to US law because of some stupid declaration on their part is that the law and the court are there for their sake. Having a trial, being presumed innocent until proven guilty, and entire idea of due process is afforded to citizens of the United States. If “Sovereign Citizens” truly weren’t US citizens, there wouldn’t be a need to go through all of this. The government could just seize them and do whatever they wanted with them. They wouldn’t have any government to go to bat for them.
It’s all just so stupidly short sighed
I’d like to throw “Space Dandy” out there. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but I think it does a really good job of combining sci-fi with comedy, and it can touch on some out there concepts.
Again, not the greatest, but definitely worth a watch.
Surprised I didn’t see Legend of the Galactic Heroes sooner. I never got around to finishing it, but it was a very enjoyable space opera
Expect to see memes about it too in other communities. This’ll be the front page of most fediverse instances in some fashion for the rest of the day I imagine
