There is a specific paragraph in the law stating that computer programms are exempt from private use:
“Dieser Artikel findet keine Anwendung auf Computerprogramme.”

So somehow they specifically excluded computer programs from the article that allows you to download and use everything for yourself.

Fun fact Swissair was the high quality Swiss airline for decades. Then they went bancrupt and Swiss was created. It is way worse. Air trafic wise Switzerland doesn’t have a lot to offer.

Apparently about 20 of those tanks were sold to a German company in 2019. So they don’t belong to Switzerland and are not located in Switzerland. I really hope at least those cam be given to Ukraine…

I’m Swiss, this is a way to strict neutrality. But the biggest party in Switzerland suddenly is against weapon exports, now that is about helping Ukraine fight Russia. I’m pretty sure that they have strong ties to Russia or Russian money…

Hopefully the 20-something tanks out of those 100 that were sold in 2019 can get to Ukraine!

I’m still absolutely flabbergasted that Russia lost basically all its modern tanks, artillery, a third of its planes and helicopters and a quarter million soldiers for basically no gains and becoming a pariah in the world for not gaining anything at all.

That law actually came into existence because Swiss weapons were in lots of civil wars and conflicts. I guess now it is too strict.

On the other hand I will be happy if the Swiss arms industry dies, there are better ways to earn money.

The stupid thing is that Switzerland is already on Russia’s naughty list. It’s just the idiot right wing party (I wouldn’t be surprised if they had connections to Rusdia) and the green party (because pacifism that clearly doesn’t work here).
