Mass produced spirits became a problem throughout the western world around the same time, cheap whisky in Scotland and Ireland, gin in England and vodka in Russia etc. The industrialisation of production led to slum housing and cheap, strong alcohol, not a good combination.

Don’t worry about the quality of the paint, I grew up using cheap Chinese water paints and it was OK.

That’s alright, fusion is only ten years away!

Ironic that this came from Oxfam given that their workers in the UK are about to strike due to having to use food banks because of low wages.

Russia relies on man power, Ukraine relies on mind power.

China doesn’t back losers, they’ve taken a step back and aren’t likely to do anything to jeopardize trade given their current economic issues. A similar trade ban to Russia’s would tank their economy instantly.

I visited about twenty years ago, it’s definitely worth a visit.
