They’re in spring right now, and Tazmania is below freezing and snowing in some areas literally this very moment. So I guess it does. It is VERY far south, almost as far south as the tip of Argentina.

From the thumbnail, I assumed this was a British story for some reason.
“I’m lovin’ it” wouldn’t have been better in this case, however.
Thanks, Disney.
Thanks, my mind when to nuclear radiation, not heat radiation. Makes sense!
Better than 5x at 16h I guess. 😅
And then if it doesn’t sell well, they’ll use that as an excuse to discontinue private server development; and when they cancel their live service, it’ll be dead forever.
An expert witness who testified in the RNC case estimated that “approximately one-third of a [percent] of non-Hispanic White voters [in Arizona] are Federal-Only Voters, while a little more than two-thirds of a percent of minority voters are Federal-Only Voters.” So the universe of voters who registered using the federal form isn’t that large, but it is disproportionately non-white, which likely explains the GOP’s interest in this case — among other things, Republicans wanted to prevent these federal-only voters from casting a vote for president.
In 2020, President Joe Biden lost white Arizona voters, but very narrowly won the state due to his strong performance among Latinos. Biden’s margin of victory was only about three-tenths of a percent, so even a small shift in who was allowed to vote in Arizona might have changed the result.
I can’t parse this. They can’t possibly be saying 0.33% of non-Hispanic white voters are federal only.
I mean, if we’re talking about real solutions - a highly effective and efficient option would be airships. Could replace mid and long distance freight trucking shipments. Could replace international freight ships too.
RFK can appear very appealing if you don’t look hard enough. Sit him down to watch the John Oliver segment and see what he thinks then. If he’s a rational person, he might see the error of his ways.
These companies should be paying fines in the BILLIONS of dollars for their malfeasance. I got a notice from work this morning, this is horrifying.
You’re absolutely right, ~80% of Mozilla’s revenue is from Google’s paying to be the default search engine in Firefox - and the US is going after Google for it’s anticompetitive behaviors as we speak. Ad blocking aside, Mozilla is going to need help pretty soon anyways if Google gets their monopoly broken up.
Having ublock on mobile is such a breath of fresh air. I wish I had made the transition sooner. I knew this was coming and completed my transition a few weeks back so I could abandon Chrome on my own time table and not on Google’s. Other than a little headache trying to find extension replacements for pc, I’m LOVING it.
For some reason, some developers get away with it… But that practice is specifically prohibited by Apple. Maybe the exception is for app developers that had a pre-existing deal before the rule went into effect or something, but directing users out of the app and into a web browser will get your app update denied. If Patreon were in a position to make that deal, they probably wouldn’t be catching hell like this from Apple in the first place.
Strange that I am in active boycott of two restaurants, and it happens to be both of these places. Not for anything high minded - they both discontinued their chorizo offerings, the only thing I liked on either of their menus. Happened 7 or 8 years ago now, and I won’t go back.
The main shows definitely that is the case for me as well - but there are also Patreon exclusive audio releases that don’t go out on the rss feed for Morning, Somewhere for instance. I also follow shows with exclusive video releases on Patreon that don’t ever go to YouTube and I still get the benefit of a dedicated media app with background play.
Background play of exclusive podcasts for one thing. I suppose that might be possible in a browser but playing media from a media player app instead of a browser is certainly going to be a better experience.
They have to clarify this, because their CEO said that was something she wanted to make. What they’re actually doing is covering their asses because of all the negative sentiment they’ve stirred up now. It’s actually just a lie to say they have no plans.
Well, they would presumably develop premium subreddit features to reach parity or develop an otherwise useful feature set. As it is now, you’re certainly right.
Did people get bitchy on the internet when they released the PS One, the PS2 slim, 5 generations of PS3, or the PS4 Pro? Or the Xbox One X, Xbox 360 E, the Switch OLED, 2DS, DS lite, Gameboy Advance SP, Sega Genesis 2, Sega Genesis 3, Sega Saturn 2? I certainly don’t remember this much discourse back then. It’s like every gamer on the internet has collective amnesia about mid generation refreshes and how they have existed since the dawn of console gaming.
Just as always - it’s probably not meant for you if you’re perfectly happy with your base model.
And just like all those multitude of prior examples - no, they certainly will not release games that ONLY work on the mid cycle refresh device. Because that would be a really poor financial decision. And can you imagine the discourse if you had to buy a $700 console to replace your $500 console so you could play all the newest first party titles? On a device that has likely 4 years max before it is subplanted by the PS6? That would be a far more justified upset in my opinion.
