To me, 9/11 was personal. I hated everyone involved for years, including people in the Bush administration and the man himself because I believed they had been in on it, as if they had done this just to ruin my life because I cannot stand being collateral damage for an attack against a country I don’t even live in.

What does it mean when you are already barely functional, and then when you’re 27 your mind literally goes to hell and when you get back to sanity you’re never the same and you hate everything?

Tbh, this is me, and I totally get it; I have undersized sinuses so my sense of smell is sometimes less than it should be, and I prefer to not shower because I always feel like I’m freezing when I get out until I dry off. That said, I’m not trying to be disgusting, and actually appreciate if someone politely reminds me to shower because I’m too absentminded to remember to at least shower once a week and before going somewhere with a lot of people. I absolutely will get myself cleaned up if you ask nicely, I don’t appreciate cigarette smoke myself partly because it stinks (I don’t smoke and neither do any of my family, but unfortunately it’s pretty common here for complete strangers to do so in front of doorways to stores) so I can understand if something about me smells gross and you need me to wash.

Interestingly, there’s evidence that showering every day is actually too much and it should be twice/thrice a week (essentially every two days) instead. If I could meet that standard on my own, I would, and I’m thankful to be able to explain myself here even if no relevant person will ever see it.

Thanks to OP for this green text. Sometimes people do need it bluntly, I became a better person overall in 2015 because someone who did care about me pointed out some things I’d done that were hurting the people around me in subtle ways.

And then people wonder why I have more hope for Star Citizen (currently on Alpha 3.22.x and about to go to 3.23, which will likely involve a big number of features being completed) which has been in development for 12 goddamn years, than I do for Bethesda games. Fallout peaked at New Vegas and 4 was just borrowing from Obsidian’s successful design.

Freaking Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man’s Sky were able to be fixed, this is a corporate culture issue.

Crawling in my Skin intensifies

To be fair, I use a simple smartlock whose only purpose is so I alone can unlock my bedroom door without needing my physical key duplicated for others to enter at desired times.

To also be fair, I have a hodgepodge of smarthome lights and plugs linked via ifttt that I am now worried will not have any replacement option in 15 years. Maybe I made a mistake, but I do actually have a need to rely on a smartswitch to turn off the lights when I leave home.

That said, we really need to keep printing paper hard copies of important stuff. Like, why do archival projects not charge non-personal (business & government) users a subscription fee for access and provide free personal use to library card holders?

Okay, is it just me or is the total global revenue for physical media music less than $2 USD a year? I must be reading it wrong.

I actually may have confused two threads about this topic and forgotten which poster I was trying to respond to. To be clear, all I wanted to say - in short, that I agree with her if she’s arguing in good faith, but that doesn’t justify the above poster hating Israelis and the words “finally, etc.” sounded anti-semetic. Any past online behavior of mine that suggested I feel otherwise is not something I want to influence people to hate a group, and I felt that needed to be pointed out. In the past I’ve made mistakes in my online posts, visible or not, but I never hated anyone for beliefs, only individual actions. My words were not the right ones, I get it. Please stop, I am trying to be unbiased and not “politically correct” because history doesn’t repeat for no reason and yes, there is nothing that is inherent to anyone that prevents them acting like a fascist, no matter what label you can otherwise apply to them. Hypocrisy is a thing, genocide is something every culture is guilty of. It’s not pleasant, but it is fair. We have free will, check your bigotry before it wrecks everything. I will be unsubscribing to this entire community now that I’ve said my peace, please block me if you’re too partisan to realize I am not saying Hamas are not guilty, only that Israel’s government is not free of corruption by hate anymore than Hamas if carpet-bombing hospitals is in their playbook.

Not sure, but I think the WiFi on it was defective or something because I had ridiculous amounts of trouble setting up smarthome devices on that phone. After several DAYS of it, I lost my temper. The 20g forces are a wild guess but the phone was unsalvageable.

Keep in mind I bought that Pixel 7 Pro on eBay.
