They exist in a thought bubble that 80% of the world rejects and can’t imagine any different ideas being valud. I’ve mostly stopped voicing my thoughts here.

Designated drivers are a thing. And I haven’t had more than one drink at a bar since I lived in Europe in 1989 where they actually had public transportation. For many years I’d just drink at home or at a friend’s house if my wife was driving. I recently quit drinking though.

I’ve installed Linux mint cinnamon on some PCs for other people. It’s okay. I still run into errors and difficulties but for your average non techie person it might work if someone else gets them started.

My wife is one. She voted for Trump in '16. She won’t vote for him again there’s no way she’ll vote for Kamala.

I would have already been up for a couple of hours. My problem used to be people trying to get ahold of me at 10pm, but Do Not Disturb fixed that. People don’t understand what the 3-4am life is about.

Lemmy is a terrible place but after leaving Reddit after a dozen years, it sucks too. No going back. I kinda want to leave Lemmy - such miserable, hateful echo chamber - but, where would I go?

I’m anti Kroger - my wife and daughter both worked there after the pandemic. They’re definitely union around here but they’ve negotiated the worst wages in the area. You make $13/hr and still have to pay dues.

As an independent currently in Ohio, this race feels like Trump vs Biden all over again.

There is no consensus. Some want no line drawn.

Civilians used to own canons. For blowing up ships. And the occasional home invader. Doesn’t matter if it has sailed if we sink it. We should sink that ship.

I feel like history could teach us something. How many times have banned ideologies thrived? A lot of people assume the party doing the silencing is in the wrong.

Yeah I’m thinking about leaving Lemmy. Not sure where to go but this place does not have diversity of thought or dialog.
