What’s wrong with the chargers? We have one of those brushes here and it just lives on the charger when not in use. We’ve never had any issues.

• https://www.youtube.com/@CSaffitz Mostly does desserts. Her recipes tend to be on the more complex side. I’d look to her if I really want to perfect a recipe.

I’d add that they also have your roommate at knife point. I don’t think it changes the answer too much, but it’s closer to the scenario that OP is probably thinking about.

Sounds like we need instance level karma where instances can upvote/downvote other instances, and user karma is scaled based on that number. I don’t know if it’ll be healthy, but it does sound like fun, especially if users get a say in the instance’s vote.

If you’re interested in AR, you should pay attention to AI too since it looks like the two fields will be intersecting very soon, if not already. Meta has been putting a lot of work into dense point tracking models with very impressive results. It’s probably safe to assume AR is their intended application of the tech given their investments in the Meta-verse.

I like having a separate connector for audio because it gets a lot of use and this lots of wear from the constant plugging and unplugging, and I’m often moving around with the headphones plugged in. I don’t want to have to worry about breaking something from doing this.

Small USB connectors tend to be the first point of failure in most of my devices, and a broken USB port would render a phone completely unusable. I don’t want to take that risk.

Where does it add up? I’ve never let my phone battery fall under 30 min of remaining battery life before charging. I’m pretty sure that’s the case for almost everyone. Extending the battery by an hour isn’t going to meaningfully change how I use my phone. Extend it for an extra day and that’s when it starts getting interesting.

We don’t need a single mind to understand the entirety of how the brain works. One of the powers of human knowledge is its distributed nature arising from our ability to write things down and create abstractions. What matters in the end is that we as a collective understand the brain.

Forgetting points that were already made is something that I commonly encounter, but I just attribute that to people being generally forgetful. I don’t have any expectation of other people putting in much effort in rereading the whole thread before each response; so if someone forgets what was previously discussed, I’ll just respond with a summary and continue from there.

I think the idea is that you keep the layout as simple as possible such that you don’t need any code for it, css or otherwise.

The problem with the subscription feed is that it shows you every channel that you’re subscribed to. If I only want to see cooking videos for example, then it has to be through the standard YouTube recommendations page. What it needs is the ability to manually group channels and let us choose which set of channels we want to see.

Things are rough, but I’ll have all the time in the world to rest when I’m dead. So why not give it my all and see where it takes us?
