I feel the same way about MeGusta — x265, always great size/quality ratio.

Much better, very good detail 😅
How about ‘artist’s death’, full stop?
Do you have any links to articles about how to use i2p?
It’s pretty funny how you can’t keep I/he and my/his straight in your post. And the “not mine” label is a nice touch! 😂
I think you owe it to yourself to make this into a post on /r/amitheasshole. I have a feeling the results will surprise you.
Don’t have any data to back it up, but I’ve been using Photoshop for 25+ years, and got the clear impression that this was 100% part of marketing; from what I gathered from friends back then, pirating Photoshop was so astonishingly simple that it seemed deliberate. If you’ve got the software that’s the easiest to get hold of for kids and students, that’s what they grow up with, that’s what they know, that’s what they expect to have access to in future employment situations.
Now that they’ve managed to pull off Subscriptions (and consequently fucking us all over by making it a legitimate business model, which instantly spread to, what, +60% of all paid software?), I’m sure they’ve calculated that the higher bar for gaining access to their software is more than adequately offset by the readings on the yard stick in their Scrooge McDuck money vault building(s).
And still, nobody has managed to make something that can replace their bloated, shitty software for professional users.
First one doesn’t work without the comma, I think you meant “Stop killing games”.
🎵 just a n00b like some of us 🎵
A complete collection of QI episodes, and I’d be able to watch a fraction of them 😊
Thanks! I misunderstood completely, thought you were downloading from Spotify and uploading to YouTube 😅
Genuine question: Spotify TO YouTube? I’m trying hard and not coming up with a use-case 🤔
Or is it just “Spotify or YouTube”?

Thank you! It’s going to be hard to change my mind on that one, but I’ll give it a go 😊👍
Thank you for the clarification! I’ve clearly misunderstood the function of the crypto and/or read a poor description of Nostr 👌
In this case, the crypto (in itself still an unpalatable, energy wasting pyramid scheme, IMO) makes a lot more sense, and doesn’t detract from the platform (other than facilitating the platform’s tacit promotion of crypto).
I tried reading up on Nostr the other day, and came away finding it unpalatable, mainly because my understanding was that upvotes are tied to crypto.
The way I read it, you need some sort of crypto currency to pay for upvoting a post, from which I inferred that the only reasonable gauge for a posts popularity (upvotes) was intrinsically tied to money (and crypto-money, at that).
Is this a reasonable assessment, or did I misunderstand something?
EDIT: I was wrong, and stand corrected 👍
Also very succinct and to the point, thank you! 😊👌
Perfect, thank you, that’s a lot easier to understand! ❤️
I personally don’t play any online and/or multiplayer games, so the term was new to me.
If anyone else, like me, doesn’t know what a ‘live service game’ is, this is the definition from the article:
The survey defines live services as any regular update cadence planned for a game.
The report notes that traditional game development is two-three years long, while live production is more than five years.
If anyone has a simpler and more succinct definition, please do share ❤️
There’s so much waste everywhere, let alone in tech. Being able to both “recycle” old hardware, and find legitimate use for it, should be celebrated.
Now if only I knew what to do about my old phones … I’m pretty good at making them last, so my older ones are very old, and I can’t think of anything useful for them to do that whatever phone I currently have doesn’t do much better 🤔
Sneakernet is OK, but I still prefer IPoAC.
