Why do you have a picture of his ass in your wallet though?

The one time I missed it was when I was trying to sell a subwoofer which only has RCA inputs and I had to use my laptop top prove it worked to potential buyers. Other than that, I use Bluetooth exclusively.

Sure thing, 7u5k3n 🤔
Once governments stop or reduce funding for the meat and dairy industries, prices will continue to go up and more people will be like you. At the end of the day, animal products (especially those from bovines) aren’t super sustainable and cost a lot more than we pay at the supermarket.
Generally, yes. I like MacOS more than windows because it’s at least *nix.
But to be honest I have no strong opinions on OS when it comes to work. I’ve used windows*/Linux/MacOS and none have stood out as far superior to get my work done faster or more efficiently.
I use MacOS with my Mac because that’s what’s installed out of the box.
The main things that seem to hold me back from working efficiently are programs that are required by the company to maintain their ISO accreditation like Microsoft “intune” or what ever it’s called.
*Only when required.
There are plenty of developers who use macs for work, me included. I mainly go with Mac for the build quality/battery life/performance though and also because my work pays for it so I don’t need to worry about the exorbitant price. I would agree that MacOS is pretty janky at times and it requires a few third party apps to be reasonable usable.
But I’m not really sure what you mean by useful bits? I don’t feel like I’m really restricted in MacOS. If there isn’t a UI element for something, you can probably adjust it in a terminal.
You can even compile to a native executable these days I believe so you don’t have to have the .net runtime installed or bundled.
They now spruke .NET MAUI (Multi-Platform App UI) as the new “write once, deploy everywhere” framework. I’ve not used it but it sounds good in theory 🤷♂️
Or what if your SSD borks it and you’re unable to do a secure erase on it? Happened to my wife’s laptop. I’m planning on smashing the SSD to ensure the data is destroyed before putting it in recycling.
I pay for premium but I ended up installing revanced on my phone so I could disable shorts and it also skips in-video ads which is really nice. I didn’t disable YouTube’s ad blocking though because I don’t need to.
It’s not so black and white though. Passion jobs are often exploited because people will put up with it more and there is higher demand for those types of jobs.
Your best bet is to find something that is interesting and nice enough to keep you content and not bored to death but not so enthralling that you feel like working unpaid overtime or what ever. Bonus points if it’s paid relatively well.
Here’s to hoping Musk tries some extreme cyber trucking on a very high and dangerous cliff somewhere too.
To be fair, translation engines like deepl.com do handle idioms pretty well compared to google translate. It probably depends on the idiom and the languages though. But even deepl is nowhere near perfect. Fine for random stuff to be understood but not good for a professional news website.
Is it going to be called New Amsterdam? 🤔
They are probably talking about “BeReal”. I’ve never heard of that either…
It was right there all along. 🤔
Our appartement block just voted down getting an engineer in to see what would be required to have car charging infrastructure installed. To be honest I get it, owners don’t want to pay for that for the hypothetical electric car owner in the future.
You guys are doing great!
A contract for a salaried position may say something like “you will work 40 hours a week but you maybe have to work some moderate overtime to complete tasks at certain times throughout the year.” (Probably better worded than that) but that means they can expect you to work overtime every now and then if there is a deadline or a project that requires it. But if its every week or an unreasonable amount of overtime per week then you should be compensated with time in lieu or extra money. It all depends on your contract.
