I’m not here to fuck reddit, that would be really weird tbh. I’m here to have a similar experience as reddit without supporting that crap company.
A lot of people here originate from reddit, and still have the same interests. Especially those who have experience organizing drawings on r/place.
If there’s something you want on there, go find some people and get organized!
I didn’t even know about that, that’s really cool. I have noticed that if I come back to older posts there’s often a lot of new activity since I was there last.
One thing I love about lemmy is how easy it is to get a conversation going. On reddit it’s really easy to be buried in a thread, and if you get a response it’s often just a joke or a snarky remark. Here there’s so much genuine engagement. It reminds me of the transition from Twitter to Mastodon. I guess people who bother to make the move are more likely to be more engaged users, too.
Now I am concerned. When I say “correct me if I’m wrong”, I usually mean that literally.
That’s 5x the recommended max single dose, and 2.5x the recommended max daily dose (obviously depends from person to person and on body weight). I don’t think it would be lethal, but the symptoms would still suck - racing heart, shaking hands, quite often psychological symptoms like anxiety/panic… The worst part of caffeine OD is that it gets metabolized super slowly (half life 1.5-9.5 hours), so after 10 hours you might still experience those symptoms, and there’s simply nothing you can do. Speaking from experience here, although it was less than 1000mg. If this story is true (which it very well might be) I feel for OP.
I… Don’t know what this means
