the ending is a great joke (a literal cop out) but I agree it isn’t all that fun to watch. it (purposely) is very anticlimactic. even with all the shenanigans going on thru the movie, it still has the main plot of Arthur finding the Grail, and people want resolution to that. it’s part of our storytelling DNA.

yes, that’s an important caveat. we only know what earthy carbon-based life and its signs look like, with dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide being key signs because they’re only made by living organisms on earth. looking for those chemicals is our best chance of identifying extraplanatery life because we dont know what the key identifers are for acarbon-based life. it could be that we have “found” life elsewhere but we just don’t realize because it not something we’re familiar with the data we get

The Woman in Black with Daniel Radcliffe is absolutely terrifying. not jump scarey, just intense dread and horror as some of the scenes linger on.

the sequel was alright but couldn’t quite match the intensity
