I used to respect the hell outta my boss. Chief engineer, man can fix and diagnose just about anything. Then he started talking about this guy and how great he is… Like how can someone be so smart yet so so dumb? How can you not apply the same critical thinking into politics as you do into your work? Where does the disconnect come in?

As long as the alternatives keep getting tastier and cheaper, I’m all in. I’m glad it worked out for you, but I didn’t have the same experience when I tried removing meat from my diet. I’ve been able to find substitutes and recipes to eat way less meat, but I still get that need if I haven’t had any for a while. I can’t wait for the day that the alternatives bump off meat completely for me, but for now I’ll consume as little as I can.

I’ve been incorporating mushrooms into a lot more meals where there would be larger portions of meat, so damn tasty.

The exact opposite experience if you’re non white. I’m light skinned and get normal service. I go out with certain friends and suddenly we’re getting ignored and waiting longer than people that came in way after us. We just end up ordering pickup or avoiding certain places all together.
